We envision to develop the knowledge base of the students, by abetting them to learn and teach, ergo in becoming active partakers in moulding the world to come.
Our goal is to administer a platform to apportionate knowledge with the entire campus by adept seniors therewithal giving them hands-on experience in becoming a faculty's teaching assistant and the opportunity to serve as a chaperone for the freshmen.
A knot of students are designated who will be acting as a bridge between the faculty coordinators and the freshmen as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (UGTA), for a selected set of courses. It opens the door for the students to get a hands-on experience in becoming a faculty’s teaching assistant and the chance to usher the freshmen.
Apply for TAOpen sessions would be instituted in the campus, wherein students from different fields can come up with presentations, talks or lectures on topics, they are inquisitive about. It would be a comprehensive platform for sharing knoweldge, open to all the students in the campus. Every year we organise 3-4 open sessions.
We started by selecting 1 TA for some selected course of each department just 3 week before end semester. It helped the first yearites to learn more effectively as they were able to connect more efficiently and confidently with the undergraduate students.
A new program formed. Having analyzed the need and feasibility of the programme and with an aim of not just restricting it to the first year, Institute Academic Council of SAC has proposed to merge UG TAship with Academic Reinforcement Program.
